"In the morning at 9:00, we begin the day with morning meeting, Bible stories, and songs. At 9:15, we have a discussion and do puzzles. By 9:30 we have begun our music and movement exercises, and by 9:50 we start our creative activities. Afterwards, we have our toilet routine and clean up time. The kids have their lunch around 10:30. As soon as the children finish eating, they get the chance for free play inside or outside the classroom and have storytime at 12:15 before going home or aftercare."

Teacher Serena
3-4 year old class
"My aim is to work with the child's holistic development. That includes physical, intellectual, creative, imaginative, language, emotional and social development. Our day usually starts with a morning meeting including a prayer, bible stories and songs. We also discuss the news and weather followed by perceptions e.g. colours, shapes and numbers. The children also have free play time in different areas. This could be in the building block area, fantasy corner, technology area, and book corner. Afterwards the children have to clean up and pack away. Before the children have their daily toilet routine, the children do dance and movement exercises. After the children have their lunch, they have the chance to play outside before they get ready to go home. I do continuous assessment with the children throughout the year and send home a progress report twice a year. Parents can feel free to come and chat to me about your child's progress. To work with your children gives me great pleasure."

Teacher Raylene
4-6 year old class

Play activities follow, during which gross motor skills are developed. Next is creative activities where we paint, draw, color in, cut, paste, and play with playdough. Educational play material and construction toys are also used. After cleaning up time, music and movement exercises are presented.
